Scholarship Application Process

 The Polk State College Foundation will begin accepting applications for Foundation Scholarships on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. The Scholarship Application will remain open throughout March, officially closing on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

Students New To Polk State College:  

Must APPLY and be ADMITTED  as a student with Polk State College.  Please click the following link if you have not applied to Polk State College:

Please complete the College’s Application, and once submitted, you will receive a Welcome Email as notification of admittance.

The College asks to allow up to 72-hours for the College’s Application to be processed. After the 72-hour waiting period, please click the link at the bottom of this page, to access the Foundation Scholarship Application.


Students Returning to Polk State College:

Those students who have NOT taken courses for 3 consecutive terms, must RE-APPLY and be ADMITTED as a returning student at Polk State College. Please click the following link if you have NOT taken courses for 3 consecutive terms at Polk State College…

Transcripts:

Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) is frequently used as a qualifier in the scholarship award process; therefore, transcripts are necessary to determine GPA.   The Scholarship Application will automatically upload college transcripts of those who have already earned 3 college credit hours or more.

Those who have earned 2 college credit hours or less, will need to upload their high school transcripts.

Accessing High School Transcripts, if applicable:

  • Please contact your high school guidance counselor if you have questions on how to obtain a SCREEN SHOT of your most recent UNOFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS. Please include your Full Name, Community Hours Completed, and Weighted and Un-Weighted GPA within the screen shot.

Providing false information to obtain a scholarship may result in expulsion from Polk State College and permanently impair/ damage your academic record; furthermore, the Polk State College Foundation reserves the right to prosecute, under applicable state and federal laws, individuals who knowingly misrepresent information in the scholarship application process!


Application Review:

Foundation Scholarship Applications will be reviewed and rated by an independent committee, and award information will be made available June 1 of the current year. To check your award status, log into the scholarship application page starting on June 1, but no later than June 30, using your password and username to confirm whether, or not, a scholarship has been awarded to you.
